The following is a game preview of the Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams third round playoff game against Zachary, written by the voice of the Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman.

The Acadiana Wreckin' Rams continued to play good football last Friday night in their defeat of the Ponchatoula Green Wave 38-14.  The Wreckin' Rams fumbled on the initial play of the game and Ponchatoula returned the ball to the seven yard line.  JaKyle Homes would score to make it 7-0, but the Wreckin' Rams would answer right back with a Bralen Trahan 80 yard touchdown run.

Shortley thereafter, Bralen would return an interception 30 yards to give the Rams a 14-7 lead.  Ponchatoula would tie the game at 14, but the Rams were up to the challenge and would take a 21-14 lead in to halftime.  The second half belonged to the Wreckin' Rams as they would score 17 fourth quarter points and shut the Green Wave down for a 38-14 victory.

In two playoff games, the Terrible Turk defense has 10 interceptions with 3 of the interceptions being returned for touchdowns!  The Terrible Turks have out scored the opposition 21-14.

This week, the Rams travel to play the defending State Champion Zachary Broncos.  The Broncos have proven to be very good in the playoffs, scoring identical wins of 51-17.

Zachary is led by freshman quarterback, Keilon Brown, who has 7 touchdown passes and one touchdown rushing in just over 5 quarters of work in the playoffs.  Zachary special teams have blocked a punt, returned two punts for touchdowns and have a kickoff return for a touchdown.  Acadiana's special teams will have to be the best they have been all season to not allow the Broncos to get a big play in special teams.

The winner of this game will play the winner of the (7) St. Amant at (2) West Monroe game.

The pre game show starts at 6:02 p.m. and can be heard over the air on the am dial at ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com and on free smart phone app RadioPup.
