Breaux Bridge is one win away from the District 5-4A title, but they have one more battle to survive, and it's "The Civil War."

Everyone in St. Martin Parish picks a side when Cecilia and Breaux Bridge meet up on the football field. Grown adults won't speak to each other during game week, and banners hang from businesses in both towns leading up to the game. The rivalry takes over the cities, and this year, there's even more at stake than usual.

Both teams are competing for the district title and trying to collect power points before the start of the playoffs. Every win counts, especially when there's bragging rights on the line.

Head Coach Terry Martin coached on both sides of "The Civil War," so he knows what it takes to win. He prepared his players for the battle, knowing full well the entire city of Breaux Bridge would be watching. Thankfully, his leaders, quarterback Julian Leon and senior linebacker Tylar Wiltz understand the magnitude of the game too.

Want to see how hard they're working to win? Take some time to get an inside look at their preparation process, as they grind away under the hot Louisiana sun.
