Game one, loss to Comeaux (14-19)

Game two, loss at Sam Houston (7-42)

Game three, loss to Crowley (25-28)

Game four, loss to East Ascension (31-44)

The Cecilia Bulldogs started off the year 0-4 and the biggest loss that stands out is the blowout against a Sam Houston squad that isn't even a playoff team....

Coach Dennis Skains in his second year had an uphill battle in front of him to get this team, which is stacked with talented football players, back to the playoffs for a second straight year.

From those four losses in a row the mentality was, win one game at a time, don't try to do too much, and having the players stay within themselves.

The four straight losses out of the gate was a bit of a surprise after a strong finish last season when the Bulldogs almost upset a 6th seeded Woodlawn of Shreveport squad, lost 21-24.

Coach Skains was asked about the differences between last year and this years team, "It's not even close, I feel so much better about where we are as a team this year. Last year, I just never felt like we had a grasp on it."

Cecilia will face the 19 seed DeRidder Dragons (6-3) who play with a solid offensive attack, spread you wide with three receivers and deploy a dynamic H-back.

For the Bulldogs of Cecilia watch out for quarterback Landon Lalonde, who Dennis Skains says has complete control of this offense right now. In addition, play-makers like running back Devin Briscoe, wide receiver Lance Williams, and Mr. Do it all Kaleb Carter.

It won't be easy for Cecilia as DeRidder poses a legit threat but with everything this team has working for them right now, they certainly are hot at the right time rolling into the playoffs.
