(The following is an Acadiana Wreckin’ Ram Football game preview, written by the voice of the Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman)

The Acadiana Wreckin' Rams used a significantly better performance versus the Ruston Bearkats to improve their record to 2-0, with a 28-6 victory last Friday night.

Jaylen James had a big night for the Wreckin' Rams, reeling in two touchdown catches and adding another touchdown rushing. The Veer Machine grinded out 452 yards of total offense; and the Terrible Turks, led by middle linebacker Connor Breaux's ten and one half tackles, held Ruston to 208 yards of total offense.

This week, the Wreckin' Rams travel to Carencro (1-0), a team that has three straight wins over them. The most recent still stings, as who can forget last year's 50 yard bomb on the final play of the game.

Last week, the Bears used a strong second half to erase a 7-0 halftime lead of the New Iberia Yellow Jackets to win 17-14. Carencro had an eighty two yard touchdown pass and two yard touchdown run before getting a twenty five yard field goal for the victory.

The Bears are led on offense by running back Treylon Barnaba and wide receiver Deion Senegal. Defensively, the Bears rely on defensive end Keon Jean-Batiste, outside linebacker Jalen Angelle, and cornerback Treylon Barnaba.

The Wreckin' Rams have been led offensively by running back Ziggy Francis' twenty seven carries, two hundred eighty six yards and two touchdowns, as well as running back/wide receiver Jaylen James, who has ten rushes for one hundred eight yards and a touchdown, along with two catches for seventy four yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Connor Breaux paces the Terrible Turks with seventeen tackles, followed by defensive end Bishop Breaux who has eight and one half tackles on the year.

Will this be the year the Wreckin' Rams end Carencro's hex on them? Tune in to the pre-game show at 6:02 p.m. in the Acadiana area on the am dial at ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com, and on the free smart phone app RadioPup.
