In the very first edition of the Acadiana Postgame High School Football Forecast, R.B. tells you where to find the three best games in town.

Every week, RB will tell you the top games around Acadiana, so you can set you plans and see all the dramatic finishes a football fan could handle. For Week 1, R.B. picks a sure-fire, high-octane shootout and a pair of cross-class clashes.

Teurlings Catholic is going to be an exciting outfit all season long. With SEC-bound quarterback Cole Kelley (committed to Arkansas) firmly grasping the reins, the Rebs should throw up a ton of points. Calvary Baptist won a state title last season, and they come to town to give Teurlings an early test in the 2015 season. If you're a fan of offense, you don't want to miss this game.

With teams playing out of district and occasionally out of class to start the season, some curious clashes occur.

Notre Dame is new to 2A football, but they're very familiar with winning. The Pios took out a 4A opponent in St Thomas More in their jamboree victory, and they will have a chance to do it again to start the regular season against LaGrange High School. LaGrange won against Comeaux, but it was sloppy. If there are any weaknesses, Notre Dame will find them. Don't call it an upset if you see the 2A school win this one.

In the Acadiana Postgame Game of the Week on KPEL 96.5 FM (pregame show starts at 6:00, kickoff at 7:00), Cecilia High School (4A) will take on Comeaux High School (5A). Cecilia is technically the smaller school, but they hold the advantage heading in with an established offensive weapon. Raymond Calais Jr. was one of the most electrifying talents in Acadiana last season, and he's back to wreak havoc on defenses again. Look out for the Bulldogs in Class 4A. They have the size up front to compete, and Calais is superb.

Football season is finally here, and Acadiana Postgame will keep you in playoff form all season. Tune in next week to see where the best games in Acadiana will be played.
