The following is a game preview of Acadiana at Sam Houston, written by the voice of the Acadiana Wreckin’ Rams, James P. Bitterman.

Last week was a week of good news, bad news for the Acadiana Wreckin' Rams.

The good news, the Wreckin' Rams used their most balanced offensive attack of the year. 218 yards passing and 226 yards rushing led to a sound victory over the Lafayette High Mighty Lions 47-6.  It was very enjoyable senior night for Acadiana.

The bad news? It was revealed the Wreckin' Rams used an ineligible player in their hard fought win over Sulphur a couple of weeks ago, forcing them to forfeit the game.  With the forfeit, the Wreckin' Rams season record is now 4-3 overall and 3-1 in District play.

The forfeit also caused the Wreckin' Rams power rating to drop from number 6 to number 19.  Now the Rams must go in to survivor mode as each week's game carries even more importance.

This week, the Wreckin' Rams will travel to Moss Bluff to take on the Sam Houston Broncos (1-6, 1-2).   Regardless of Sam Houston's record, Acadiana must focus on improving itself and making sure they get the best playoff seed possible.

The pre-game show will start at 6:02 p.m. with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.  The game can be heard over the air on ESPN1420, on the internet at espn1420.com and on the free smartphone app RadioPup.

Next week Acadiana will rest up with a bye.
