Lafayette Christian Academy is coming off back-to-back State Titles and one of their best athletes Sage Ryan has been recruited to play at the next level by many high-level teams.

On Tuesday he added a team to that list in the LSU Tigers just up the road in Baton Rouge. He's listed as a defensive back on the roster but Rivals lists him as an athlete, meaning he could do a multitude of things on the football field.

He was also named to The Advertiser's All-Acadiana MVP Team as a return specialist two years running and he's a two-time LSWA All-State return specialist.

He'll be a junior next season and put up some very impressive numbers in his sophomore season doing it all for the Knights.

For the 2019 season, he had 19 punt returns for 311 yards and four touchdowns. As a cornerback, he collected 24 tackles, an interception, and a defensive score. Finally, as a receiver, he caught 23 balls for 692 yards and 13 touchdowns.

In the State Title Game, he did something special in a 56-7 victory over Ascension Catholic he had a punt return for a score, interception return for a touchdown, and caught a touchdown pass.

This kid is a special talent and it's no wonder LSU has made him an offer.
